GameCo Unveils New ESports Betting Solution for Regulated Markets in the US

The American gambling company GameCo revealed that its full-service esports betting solution is making a debut in the regulated US markets. The betting application, which has been created as a result of the combined efforts of the digital gaming software developer Askott Entertainment, the GRID data platform and the oddsmaker 10Star, was spacially tailored for local sportsbooks and casinos.

The new betting platform will be available to gambling companies to offer a powerful esports solution that combines data, betting and video streaming services. Odds risk management is also available as part of the platform. The esports solution will be operated under iGameCo, the esports betting brand that the company recently launched.

A few months ago, in Apil 2020, GameCo joined forces with the German data platform GRID in an effort to exploit the full potential of esports by adding real-time feeds of official visualizations and data for US sportsbooks and casinos. As explained at the time, the collaboration would enhance the relationship of GRID with game publishers and tournament organizers along with the gaming licenses held by GameCo. For the time being, the latter owns such licenses in more than 25 jurisdictions across Europe and North America.

The CEO and co-founder of GameCo, Blaine Graboyes, confirmed that the company is seeking to explore esports betting opportunity by the launch of the new esports betting application. In his opinion, it is now the right time for casino operators in regulated US markets to be proactive and take advantage of the increased interest to gaming and esports services, particularly among younger, untapped audiences.

Casinos and Bookmakers Can Now Take Advantage of Emerging ESports Betting Sector

As part of their partnership agreement, Askott Entertainment is providing the iGameCo brand with its online gaming technology called Chameleon Gaming Platform to include in its esports offering. The new esports betting solution combines a variety of features, such as in-play, pre-match and live stream betting services and offers a white-label platform that has been specially designed for online casino players and online bettors.

The sportsbook solution offered by iGameCo is to put in good use the pricing and risk management service provided by the oddsmaker 10Star. Thanks to its partnership with the technology firm, iGameCo will be able to provide not only pre-match odds and real-time pricing for in-play betting, but also risk management services for partners and operators.

For the time being, the legalization and regulation of esports betting across the US is still developing, with sports betting having been only recently legalized in the country. As of August 2020, nine US states allow betting on esports events, each on a case-by-case basis. Other states are also making progress towards the adoption of the new form of gambling.

From March to May 2020, gambling regulators in the state of Nevada issued 13 separate esports betting licenses, under which licensed sportsbooks are allowed to accept bets on a variety of online games, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota2, Call of Duty, League of Legends, etc.
