Southern Gaming Summit 2018 Set to Commence this May in Mississippi

The first days of May are going to bring more insight into the gambling industry with the help of this year’s edition of the Southern Gaming Summit 2018 which is scheduled to take place on 2nd May. According to the officially issued information regarding the convention it will take place at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The industry is in need of more major events such as the one which is scheduled to commence soon in Mississippi, as they are usually a useful approach towards networking and meeting fellow operators and casino companies in the field. Being one of the most renown and anticipated conferences in the international casino sphere, this is also the summit with a significantly long history. Mississippi Gaming & Hospitality Association is the entity responsible for its existence and ongoing organization throughout the years ever since 2014.

The Gulf Coast of Mississippi is ready to welcome gaming businesses operating in the industry and bring them together to potentially form new partnerships and learn more regarding the latest happenings in the sphere. Over the span of two days, the participants will have the chance to listen to speeches, informational panels and a wide variety of topics at the gaming summit. At the very beginning of the two days of congregation will see the Golf Tournament and Awards for everyone interested in giving their skills a try.

Future Development in the Industry

This gathering will be closely followed by a welcome reception which will set the ground for the following day filled with various panels. Starting at 7:30 am on 3rd May with a Continental breakfast and a Keynote address hosted by Geoff Freeman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Gaming Association, the summit is off to a good start.

The Presidents forum is on after that and it is expected to feature the General Managers of some of the most well-known casino developers in the field, to the likings of Hollywood Casino Tunica, Resorts Casino Tunica and 1st Jackpot Casino Tunica, the Golden Nugget, and Caesars Entertainment.

The summit is scheduled to also see a panel dedicated to the future of sports betting and the opportunities for development in the field. The Chief Executive Officer of William Hill Joe Asher is one of the speakers who will present their point of view. Seth Young, Executive Director of Online Gaming at Foxwoods Casino Resort is also going to express his vision regarding the potential legalization of sports wagering across the states.

Tribal Gaming is also going to have a special panel dedicated to it in the afternoon which is set to see Tim Ramer, Property Manager at Wind Creek Casino and Hotel and Richard Sneed, Chief at Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians make an appearance and present their view on the sector. According to the estimations, as many as 700 to 1000 delegates are expected to attend the summit.
