FanDuel Announces Upcoming Launch of Its FanDuel Cable Sports TV Network in September

FanDuel, one of the leaders in the US sports betting and entertainment industry officially announced that it is to roll out the first-of-a-kind linear cable sports TV network, as well as an over-the-top (OTT) platform, in September 2022. As revealed by the company, the new services that will be offered in the following month are dedicated especially to sports betting content. FanDuel will also make an effort to air more hours of live sports coverage than any other provider in the US.

The company shared that its new cable TV network project is set to be called FanDuel TV, with the service being largely available throughout the US.

As mentioned above, apart from the cable TV network service, will be an over-the-top platform named FanDuel+ that will take care of bringing the same sports content and coverage to smartphone users. Customers, who already have FanDuel accounts on the operator’s casino, sportsbook, horse racing, or daily fantasy products platform, will be able to access it for free.

Mike Raffensperger, Chief Commercial Officer of FanDuel, shared that FanDuel TV is the first TV network that is specially designed to be watched on smartphones. He explained that the company intended for its new FanDuel TV service to sit somewhere between interactive content and live sports. Furthermore, Mr. Raffensperger emphasized that the company is aimed at combining watching sports betting on the mobile application of FanDuel and guaranteeing unique interactive entertainment to its customers.

Various Shows and Content to Be Available on FanDuel’s New Cable TV Network

FanDuel’s cable TV network service is bringing in Kay Adams, the former host of Good Morning Football on the National Football League (NFL), who will host her own morning show on a daily basis from Monday to Friday. The show will be broadcast from the Los Angeles-based studio of FanDuel and will welcome various sports personalities.

As revealed by the sports betting and daily fantasy sports company, the show is set to be a mix of entertainment and sports information. Apart from FanDuel TV, it will also be available on YouTube and other social media platforms.

The signature show “More Ways to Win” will still be aired on FanDuel’s TV network service once a week with its host, Lisa Kerney, who is also a brand ambassador for the sportsbook and DFS company. The show will continue providing insight into sports betting on the major sports leagues in the US and on a global scale, as well as analysis for all sports fans.

At the time when the announcement was made, FanDuel also noted that it will start working with the popular sports analyst Pat McAfee, who is set to start creating original content for the cable TV network. The company is expected to provide more details on the programming coming from McAfee at a later stage.

The US sports betting and DFS giant is also expected to disclose more information on the partnership it has managed to ink with The Ringer Network. Under the provisions of the deal, FanDuel TV will be provided with some content by The Ringer.
