Players willing to immerse into the deep waters of poker have the excellent chance to do so at King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. This week would witness yet another of the coveted WSOP Circuit Rings reaching its new owner at the end of the Oktoberfest Event this Friday.

It comes as no surprise to anyone that poker enthusiasts eye Rozvadov as one of the main locations when it comes to poker. King’s Casino situated in this picturesque town near the border with Germany is a regular stop for many poker festivals. Sunday saw the official start of the latest event capable of granting one of its top participants with the shiny piece of jewelry at the end of the Final Table.

Every player willing to make it in had to introduce a buy-in amounting to some €250, reserving hem a spot at one of the poker tables of this tournament. This amount reserves them a starting chip stack of 40,000 in chips giving them the freedom to operate with them as they deem most appropriate. Over the span of four starting flights, many poker players would have the opportunity to showcase their skills on the felt and defend their spot among survivors on Day 2.

Day 1a Kickstarts Action on the Felt

What attracts them the most in addition to the precious WSOPC Ring is the considerable cash pool of €400,000 which guarantees generous cash payouts to the top players. Due to the high levels of interest towards this event, this amount is most probably going to be exceeded by the end of the registration window. Sunday brought a total of 141 players to the venue, all of them prepared to climb all the way to the top.

Chip leader at the end of the day was Paulius Vaitiekunas from Lithuania, generating some 516,000 to his name. Martin Kabrhel was also among the top players at the end of the day, bracing for the approaching Day 2 of the event with his chip stack of 370,000. Players who managed to make it to the other side reached only 38, making for a relatively narrow player pool. The second starting flight of this event managed to attract some 160 registrants.

Amping up the tempo, they were all eager to reach far. Wlodzimierz Tadeus Laczkowski from Poland was the player who managed to generate the largest chip stack by the end of Monday’s action in the poker room, raking up some 649,000 in chips. With this move, he reserved a spot on Day 2 of the event, as well as a leading position across all survivors from the first two starting flights. Only 74 players survived through all of the 40-minute levels.

Players Eager to Bag Breathtaking Prizes

Tuesday brought the third starting flight of this tournament attracting an even larger crowd – some 304 players registered for participation. Among them were renown names in the poker field, as well as players familiar from previous WSOPC events. The chip leader at the end of the day was Mathijs Jacobus Janssen from Belgium who is also the overall chip leader with his bagful of 705,000. Another well-known player progressing ahead was Eyal Bensimhon from France with his chip stack of 409,000.

Ondrej Lon, who is a local pro regularly attending poker events at King’s Casino and across the country also registered for participation in this starting flight. By the end of the day, he climbed all the way to the ninth position on the unofficial rank list with some 334,000 in chips. German poker player Christopher Puetz, who claimed the consolation prize of €45,009 at the end of the Monster Stack Ring #2 event was also present on site. He ranked right next to Lon with the help of 304,000 to his name.

This Wednesday would see the next two starting flights of this event, offering more opportunities for entering. Thursday is set to bring a sixth and final flight which is going to be a Turbo one, offering faster gaming pace and shorter levels. Right after it the official Day 2 of the tournament is set to commence, sifting through all surviving participants. Friday would once again attract survivors for the Final Table, eyeing the shiny fifth WSOPC Ring.
