GiG to Rebrand its Betspin Operations to Exclusive Live Casino Affiliate Domain

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has unveiled the rebranding of its online casino operation Betspin to an exclusive affiliate portal that will be primarily focused on live casino services.

The Betspin unit of the online gambling operator was established in 2015 and offered online casino services until its closure in 2019. It resumed operation on November 9th, 2020 and currently offers players a guide to web-based live casinos in their location.

Currently, the gambling domain offers a wide range of promotions and bonuses for players looking for live casino games such as roulette, blackjack, baccarat and poker. It also provides guidelines for players who are new to lice casino gambling and want to learn how to play.

The rebranding of the Betspin domain was confirmed by the managing director of GiG Media, Jonas Warrer. He said that the Betspin brand is being turned into a live casino affiliate website to the group and explained that it is mainly dedicated to live dealer games, which have been considered a prominent segment of the digital gambling market. Mr. Warrer further noted that the live dealer games are also expected to see further growth in the years to come.

Affiliate Marketing Operations of GiG Mark 7.6% Growth in Q3 2020

According to the financial results that were published by the gambling operator only a week ago, the preliminary focus of GiG on business-to-business services brought the company financial benefits in the first fiscal quarter of 2020. The operator reported that the revenue generated by its platform services division marked strong growth, while its divestment in business-to-consumer assets helped it reduce the net loss for the period.

Revenue for the third fiscal quarter that ended on September 30th was estimated at €17.9 million, marking a 77.2% increase from the amount reported in the same period a year ago (€10.1 million). So far, the online platform services of the Gambling Innovation Group remained by far the main source of income of the company in the third quarter, generating €9.1 million in the entire period – a figure that represents a 151.8% increase from the same period a year ago.

Last week, GiG reported that the revenue from affiliate marketing operations (or its media services business) rose by 7.6% in the three-month period to September 30th, 2020, reaching €8.6 million. As revealed by the group, the unit managed to benefit from the fact that the coronavirus restrictions had been eased in the company’s core markets. The resumption of sporting events around the world also helped the division’s performance.

For now, the company’s business continues its global expansion. It has received operating licenses in the US states of Pennsylvania, Colorado and New Jersey so far in 2020, and also signed agreements to power the launch of its Grupo Slots brand in Buenos Aires.
