Mohegan Gaming Leaves Fingerprints All Over Louisiana’s Paragon Casino Resort

Yet another tribal collaboration reached a new level recently and it is well on its way to diversifying the offerings available in the state of Louisiana. Paragon Casino Resort is set to witness the wide spectrum of offerings provided by a subsidiary company of Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment thanks to the partnership inked with Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana.

The collaboration links the two states of Louisiana and Connecticut in order to provide casino patrons with a premium gaming experience in the foreseeable future. Through it, the Mohegan tribe is going to set foot in yet another uncharted territory. As of this Wednesday, the arrangement is considered official and covering the following five years of operation on site. With its help, Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is going to have a much greater influence over the operation taking place at the premium integrated resort.

Connecticut Tribe Elevates Resort Performance

The Connecticut Native American tribe is well-known for its extensive experience in the gaming world and this level of expertise has not gone unnoticed by Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana. In its strive to constantly improve its offerings and bring the best to its customers, the tribal management has decided to pursue a much stronger connection with the fellow Native American community.

As a result of the inked arrangement, Mohegan Gaming is now going to utilize the potential of its subsidiary and provide the venue with its expert eye on gaming options. The hospitality aspect of the casino resort is also going to be overseen by the Connecticut tribe, which is a move projected to significantly benefit the region. It could be recalled that this partnership started way back in 2016 when the two tribes agreed to work on the performance of the casino resort.

Mohegan Sun offered its advice to Tunica-Biloxi Tribe on the same general areas of operation, meaning that over the span of these years it has had the time to acquire detailed knowledge about the facility. The Connecticut tribe provided the location with a special casino carpeting bearing the symbolics of the Mississippi River. New slot devices were also introduced to the casino venue thanks to this collaboration, guaranteeing an even bigger interest in the location.

Mohegan Gaming Explores New Projects

The tribal partnership is striving to provide a helping hand to the casino resort in Marksville and be a breath of fresh air to its operation. Now that the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has been federally recognized, it is willing to help fellow Indian tribes and elevate their performance with its experience.

Following the official launch of MGM Springfield, directly competing for the player pool of Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun, the tribal developer has witnessed some negative impact. In its official report issued recently, the developer pinpointed the exact moment when revenue commenced dropping, marking a third consecutive month of revenue plunge. Over the span of the past month some $47.2 million from slot machines available on site were raked up, indicating an 8.8-percent drop in year-on-year comparison.

More players could be drawn by a planned upgrade of the Furthermore, the tribal casino developer is willing to explore new continents, as it recently expressed its desire to operate the planned casino resort in Elliniko, Greece. Mohegan Gaming is among the three casino developer and operators still remaining firm in their decision to apply for the operation licensing of this new integrated resort.

Remaining two developers are other US leading companies to the liking of Caesars Entertainment and Hard Rock Cafe. Upcoming months will see more conversations regarding the development which will take place in the area previously used as an airport.
