Boyd Gaming Pours $32 Million in Las Vegas Fremont Casino and Hotel Expansion

This fall has been quite busy for casino developer and operator Boyd Gaming Group, as more and more plans for future development are being publicly revealed. The most recent news came this Thursday and it directly affects the booming Fremont Street, well known in Las Vegas as the place to be. The casino giant is planning to bring renovation to Fremont Hotel and Casino elevating the player experience on a whole new level.

Las Vegas integrated resorts are among the hottest locations in the area, welcoming an impressive number of visitors and casino patrons on a daily basis. In order to keep up with the latest development in the area and meet the high expectations and demands of people from near and far, upgrades, expansions, and refurbishing are mandatory. This is the main reason why Fremont Hotel and Casino would witness the investment of a considerable amount of money coming from the casino developer.

Renovation and New Offerings on the Horizon

Some $32 million would be invested in the project over the foreseeable future, aligning with the general mood of renovation and brand new construction in the area. At the end of the renovation process, the resort is projected to double in size and be able to provide much more. A brand new hotel tower would be raising over Fremont Street, having the capacity to provide premium accommodation to its customers and guests.

The casino developer is planning to introduce a brand new hotel tower featuring some 509 rooms available for booking. It is going to be built in the vicinity of the booming Fremont Street Experience, guaranteeing a constant flow of guests and casino patrons. Gaming areas would also witness a significant expansion as there would be some 20,700 square feet of casino area added. They would be part of the 22,300 expansion introducing a more spacious ground floor of the location.

Aligning with the overall trend of introducing premium sports betting offerings to the area, the expansion would also bring a brand new sports book dedicated to races as well, as well as a bar guaranteeing all patrons a pleasant time on a day-to-day basis. The entire project is expected to take some 30 months in order to be finished. Fremont Street is one of them since it has leading names on offer to the liking of Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, Golden Nugget Las Vegas, and The D Casino and Hotel.

Boyd Gaming Explores New Markets

The casino developer and operator has big plans for the foreseeable future, as it could be recalled that last month saw the announcement that Boyd Gaming Corp. inked the acquisition of Valley Forge Casino Resort. The integrated complex situated in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania is the first step of Boyd in the state, as the developer is willing to explore the new market and diversify its offerings.

As a result of this acquisition the rich portfolio of the casino operator now spans over eight states, all of which with booming gaming fields. A total of 25 properties are overseen and providing their customers with a wide array of offerings. The purchase deal amounted to some $280.5 million, but what is more important is that upon the acquisition, gaming portfolio expanded significantly.

Some 250 slot devices were added to the gaming area of the casino resort, while Boyd Gaming disclosed its plans for future collaboration with FanDuel. Upcoming months are set to bring online gambling and sports betting to Valley Forge’s patrons as the fields witness their official launch.
