Springfield Sees First MGM Resorts Job Interviews Seeking Casino Resort Staff

MGM Resorts is one of the hard-working casino developers which recently made it clear that its new casino location would be ready for an earlier launch in August. In order to facilitate the process, the new facility in Springfield, Massachusetts gave green light to the official hiring meetings which aimed to attract thousands of new employees to the casino venue.

In its constant strive to offer only the utmost gaming experience to its customers, the MGM Resorts has been looking forward to a wide variety of recommendations coming from its long-time customers, as well as from people entering an MGM facility for the first time. One of the ways to make their experience even better at the new venue would be to introduce a staff that is well-trained and working at a superior level to meet every player’s expectations. This Tuesday brought hundreds of people to the MassMutual Center in Springfield where the hiring interviews were being held.

Up to this point the state of Massachusetts has never seen a hiring process of this magnitude, as the casino operator is currently seeking for a large number of people to join its workforce and become part of the rapidly-developing gaming structure of MGM Springfield. The casino location has as many as 2,400 spots ready to be taken and this wave of recruitment is going to fill a large chunk of them.

Many of the new positions which await their new employees are for food and beverage workers, among which cooks and servers. There are also new openings for locksmiths, electronics technicians, carpenters, and painters which could be hired in the foreseeable future.

Two Sets of Job Interviews Planned

Over the span of two days, potential employees willing to give their luck a try at the hiring interviews will have the chance to do so. Each and every one of them will be subjected to extensive background checks, drug screening. The employees which will receive a position at the casino venue would also have to obtain a license from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

This set of hiring events is expected to fill as many as 234 employees ready to commence work at the casino location. The second set of interview days will be held this June and then an even larger batch of spots is expected to be filled. There would be some 1,500 invited people to the meetings, making sure that the remaining 700 job positions are filled. It should be taken into account that each participant in the hiring process has been invited to do so by the casino operator.

According to the information confirmed by the employer, the average salary range for the full-time positions available on site will be in the range of $40,000-$55,000. Because the construction work is approaching its final days and the $960-million resort is already preparing for its official opening date which will be some time in August. Last week saw the official installing of the first sign reading “Hotel” on the future location.
