Maria Ho Continues as Chip Leader in WSOPE Main Event Final Day

The 2017 edition of the World Series of Poker Europe has its Main Event in full swing and Taiwanese American poker pro Maria Ho continues ahead as the chip leader for a second consecutive day. Day 5 treated Ho good and she bagged 7,830,000 at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. Her lead among the players reached the impressive 5,000,000 towards the middle of the day, but as the day progressed she reduced it again and fell closer to the rest of the players.

A day before the final table the twelve players left were giving everything they have and devoting their efforts to make it to Day 6. Marti Roca De Torres from Spain is the poker player who succeeded in progressing the most and he reached the second place on the unofficial leader board with his 7,260,000. Roca De Torres is an 888poker online qualifier and his place in the Main Event was won for the small amount of €250. The amount of money he is guaranteed to bag at the end of the final day of the Main Event is going to be a sweet return on his initial investment.

Who Progresses Ahead in the Tournament?

The third position in the temporary leader board is currently taken by Italian poker player Gianluca Speranza. The gap between the first two places and the rest of the players is obvious since Speranza had in his bag 4,400,000 at the end of Day 5. In other news, former WSOP winner Niall Farrell from the UK is also progressing towards the big cash with his chip stack amounting to 3,025,000. France will also be represented in the final table of the Main Event and the poker player who will do the favor is Mathijs Jonkers who has his hands on 2,785,000.

The sixth player is also a man with great potential which has been proven through the tournaments in WSOPE so far and his name is Robert Bickley. The player from the UK was the chip leader at the end of Day 3 of the Main Event and at the moment he has his hands on 1,085,000.The remaining players who continue ahead to Day 6 of the WSOPE Main Event are all about to win a minimum amount of €174,365.

Every one of them has the real chance to run for the big cash and the winner title in the event. Day 6 will also be the third consecutive day in which Maria Ho is the chip leader and she said that she is confident in her skills and potential to grab the first place. Some of the players who did not have her luck are the defending champion Kevin MacPhee who had big hopes for the win but could not dodge the mighty combo draw of Ho.

The sixth final day of the Main Event is scheduled to commence this Friday when the surviving six players will return to the final table and decide who is the best among them.
