World Series of Poker Gets the Cards in the Air from 30th May

One of the most spectacular poker championships, World Series of Poker (WSOP), will take place at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on 30th May, ending on 17th July by giving the title World Champion.

Being a major event on the poker scene, the championship will be running for 49 days in a row. As every year, there will be cash prizes and the emblematic gold WSOP bracelets. The championship includes different events, including the long-awaited Main Event, which will take place from 8th until 17th July.

The championship will offer almost 500 poker tables, which will be attended by players around the world. The event will take place in a ballroom of the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino resort, which is supposed to host all the players. To take a seat on the poker tables of the championship, the players will be provided with the opportunity to win their seats in an online championship, which uses real money. These are the well-known satellite tournaments. To participate in these, players need to visit the official website of the championship and register.

The online registration will be using bravo application. This year the players will be able to make credit card transactions up to $10,000.

The live tournament will start on 30th May at 2 p.m. Traditionally, the tables feature different variations of poker, but the most played are no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha. The prize pool of the tournament depends on the number of entries and buy-ins. Each year the tournament attracts more people, which means that the monetary prize is also increased.

The Main Event is the most well-known events of all, which is included in the competition every year. It is a no-limit hold’em poker game, which offers buy-in as high as $10,000. The Main Event appears in the schedule under the number 73 of the tournament and its opening will be on 8th July at 11 a.m. local time. The Day 1 from the Main Event will include 3 flights, which will continue to 10th July. After every level, the players will have 20 minutes break and after Level 3, the players will have 90 minutes break. Each level will continue for 2 hours and the players need to start with 50 000 in chips. The tournament is expected to payout around 15% of the field.

The other days of the Main Event will follow the same pattern in terms of breaks. Day 2 of the Main Event will start on 11th July and will end on 12th July, featuring also 3 flights. The next day gives the start of the Day 3 of the Main Event and every following day is scheduled to give rise to the next day from the tournament. The Main Event will end on 17th July, when for the last time the players, who were not eliminated during the previous events, will be able to meet each other in the final round and manifest their skills in the game. The game will continue till there are 9 players left, who will be ranked in a list, depending on the stack of the chips they hold.

WSOP will include 74 events, which feature various buy-ins and main variations of poker. In accordance with the established tradition, the winner of the Main Event will be given not only the largest prize, but also a golden bracelet, a title and the honor to have their picture in the Gallery of Champions. For the last year, the player, who won the title is Qui Nguyen, who managed to gain the upper hand over his runner-up with [K][10] over [J][10].

It is expected that WSOP championship this year will break any records in terms of attendees. The players are provided with different discounts for early reservations. This will be the 48th annual WSOP championship, which will take place at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
