Atlantic City’s Hard Rock and Ocean Resort Casino Work Hard Prior to Summer Launch

Preparation works are in full swing in the gambling hub on the East Coast, Atlantic City. This summer is expected to welcome two renovated and rebranded locations which will join the already existing casino resorts in the vivid area. But before the official launch could take place, several steps need to be finalized on time for the opening, as to guarantee a hassle-free launch and meeting the deadlines of the two gambling operators.

The renovation project which is aiming to give a second life to the shuttered Trump Taj Mahal location which was one of the casualties in the gambling crisis in the area several years ago is well on its way. The new name of the location is set to be Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City but placing it was probably the easiest task of the whole process. In the months leading up to the big launch, the casino operator has to make sure that the acquisition of a casino license is successful since this is essential for a new gambling location.

Another crucial step in the development would be the staff hiring task which should also be finished in time. Hard Rock is currently looking for up to 3,000 new employees to receive permanent jobs on site, in addition to the existing about 1,000 construction jobs. The next step will be the licensing of the new employees by the authorities of New Jersey and this is going to ensure that the site is ready for the official launch.

What Needs to be Done in the Foreseeable Future?

The developer of Ocean Resort Casino faces the same requirements and this is one of the reasons why the following weeks will be stressful for the management of the two future gaming facilities. Meeting the said deadlines is going to prove that the developers are taking their promises seriously and are able to work hard on their tasks.

David G. Schwartz is Director of the Center for Gaming Research at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas and he stated that the management teams of the two casino resorts have to find the middle ground between living up to their promises and finalizing their projects in a timely manner.

During the process of preparation of the two properties, the management works in collaboration with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement in order to guarantee the smooth development of the legal side of the operation. Among the things which have to be taken into consideration are the aforementioned licensing arrangements, as well as the crucial gaming floor plans. The gambling devices which will be utilized in the new venues are also subject to examination.

As for the casino licenses, Hard Rock has advanced as it began the process back in 2010 when it made a failed attempt to establish a new facility on the Boardwalk. According to the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, finalizing the licensing of the two new facilities could happen in time for the appointed summer launch.
