partypoker has a well-rounded tournament schedule for the upcoming months and this Sunday is going to see the official start of the long-anticipated Knockout Series which feature a $10 million guaranteed prize pool which has the potential to attract poker players from all four corners of the world. The online-based KO Series come with generous payouts for the top positions on the leader board.

The 25th February will give the start to the Knockout series of tournaments which will all feature large guaranteed prize pools. With a total of 164 Progressive Knockout events, there surely is something for everyone and the festival will meet the expectations of all poker players willing to give their luck a try. This is the first edition of the series of events and as such there are expected to be more participants. The very nature of these events will bring to them riveting action thanks to the special format, while the buy-ins will range from very affordable $1.10 up to $5,200 guaranteeing even larger payouts.

Structure of the Online KO Series

Within the Progressive Knockout structure of the events when a player outplays a given rival they are going to receive a cash prize whereas their bounty will increase. As a result, the player becomes a more valuable target for their opponents. With the help of this structure, the people responsible for the organization hope to provide a fast-paced type of game and keep the players active throughout the whole tournament.

This Sunday will bring the first out of three events with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million and it will feature $215 buy-in which is on the lower side of the buy-in specter of the festival. The KO Series Championship Event will be only one of the total of 18 KO events scheduled for that day, seven of them with larger guaranteed prize pools. The official start will be given following a software update which will take place on 24th, meaning that the players will be the first ones to experience the new feeling of the online poker tables.

It is going to bring to the players a whole new and improved experience starting with the re-introduction of the well-known oval-shaped tables. They will be implemented alongside the current table design, but in order to make the whole experience even better, the software update will improve the player plates, making them more readable. There will be a new time-bank indicator as well, which was highly requested by the players.

As for the tournaments with larger guaranteed prize pool, most of them are scheduled for 4th March. This is also when the rest of the $1-million GTD will take place, the first one featuring $5,200 buy-in, while the second boasts a $215 one. All satellite events are currently in progress at partypoker, as they secure a spot at the coveted new and improved poker tables of the events.
