KPMG to Host 15th Consecutive Edition of eGaming Summit

The eGaming industry is heavily preparing for its annual gathering of companies and influencers called the KPMG Isle of Man eGaming Summit, which is scheduled to commence this Wednesday. The 15th consecutive edition of the summit to be hosted by the Netherlands-listed company will return once again to the Isle of Man to provide leading companies in the field with the opportunity to make new contacts and network efficiently.

KPMG (Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler) was first established way back in 1818 by a team devoted to the audit services, aiming to provide their clients with a superb level of accounting. This makes it one of the experts in the industry and for the last 15 years, the company has been proving that these Summits are the place to be if one wants to create the partnerships necessary for developing a certain brand. In 2010 the conference was hosted by the Isle of Man for the first time and since then there have been annual events hosted in Malta and Gibraltar as well, aiming to spread the influence of the eGaming Summit.

Introducing Innovation to the Sector

The Royal Hall at the Villa Marina in Douglas will be the location appointed for the main event of the conference and among the presenters scheduled to speak before the audience are big names such as the Remote Gaming Association, Microgaming Systems, Tabcorp, and Stars. There are also going to be workshops with leading companies, where people can hear more about various topics related to the eGaming industry and get information from the source. Some of the issues which are planned to be discussed at the Summit are social responsibility and diversity which are essential in order to achieve a prosperous field. People responsible for the convention will also raise the awareness towards regulatory changes, technological advance, and M&A activity.

Wednesday will kick off with a pre-summit IMGL masterclass which is expected to introduce leading advisers and regulators responsible for the regulation of eGaming in the UK, Gibraltar, and Malta. The host of the masterclass is going to be regulator Steve Brennan. After the inaugural day of the Summit is over, the main event is scheduled to take place on the 7th. There is going to be an opening address performed by Allan Bell, Chief Minister of Isle of Man, which will be closely followed by a jurisdictional update regarding the KPMG, during which they will introduce the four new local jurisdictions to the participants in the Summit. Right after that, there is time devoted to the M&A activity in the field, part of which will be an informative panel of operators, corporate financiers, and lawyers working in the sector.

In the Broadway Cinema, there will be additional masterclasses and workshops aiming to enhance the fundamental agenda of the KPMG Isle of Man eGaming Summit. The final panel will be hosted by Russel Kelly, Group Managing Director at KPMG. This year’s edition of the summit is expected to be the largest one so far, featuring as many as 300 delegates present.
