Vegas Strip Blackjack is one of the most popular variations of class Blackjack and it can be played either as a single hand game or a multi-hand game. It does however have some characteristic differences which offer a nice change of pace from other games. This game is played with four decks of cards which increases the odds of hitting certain cards when playing the single hand version.
The first thing to be aware of in Vegas Strip Blackjack is the fact that when a player splits an Ace and then gets a card valued at 10, it counts as 21 and not as blackjack. The dealer is allowed to check to see if he has blackjack in this game and if he has blackjack, he wins that hand. Another key point to this game is that the dealer is required to stand on any 17 - which decreases his chance of busting and increases the chance that the player having more than 18 of winning.
In Vegas Strip Blackjack, a player is allowed to double down on any two cards and after a split. The double down bet is equal to the player's opening hand bet. The player can split a total of three times to make four separate hands. Aces can be split just once and a split Ace and a card valued at 10 is a 21 and not blackjack. There is no surrender in this variation of blackjack and insurance is offered.
Vegas Strip Blackjack rules should be learned well before attempting to play this game with real money. It is a fast action game that requires a player stay on his toes in order to make the right decisions. Once mastered, this variation of classic Blackjack is great fun, compelling and never dull.
