How to Play Poker
What makes it different from other casino games is that in Poker players who bet against each other, instead of playing against the house. There are numerous variants of Poker, the rules of which differ in some aspects, but the basics of the game are common for all variations.
Seven-Card Stud
Stud Poker is a game in which each player receives a determined number of face-down and face-up cards. There are five and six card variants, but the most popular played is Seven-Card Stud. In this variant of Stud Poker each player receives seven cards, three of which are hole cards dealt face down and the other four are dealt face up. The objective of the game is for the player to make the best possible hand using five of the available to him seven cards.
Poker Hands
Poker is played with a 52 card deck and the ranking of individual cards is according to their face value, where suits are irrelevant. It is possible in some variants of the game for a wild card to be used as well. In every type of a Poker game, the final hand is always consisted of five cards. Hands are comprised of different combinations between cards and the ranking order of hands from the highest to the lowest is as follows:
History of Poker

The roots of Poker can not be traced to a single game and its descent is as much unclear as debated. Games dating centuries back show similar principles to Poker, like the use of ranked cards or bluffing.
