Malta Readies for Inaugural Blockchain Delta Summit this October

Throughout the years Malta managed to establish itself a reputation as the gaming and blockchain hub of Europe which provides businesses with the chance to develop their business in the optimal conditions. This is why the announcement of a blockchain and crypto currency summit which is going to take place this autumn comes as no surprise to anyone in the gaming industry.

This October is expected to bring more crypto to the already booming field of Malta since the first days of the autumnal month are going to bring the industry a new blockchain convention which goes by the name of Delta Summit. Advertised as the official blockchain convention this is going to be the inaugural edition of this summit. Aiming to provide a breath of fresh air to the field and to give operators the chance to network and learn more about the sector, this convention has a lot on offer.

Over the span of three days starting on 3rd October Delta Summit is set to bring a lot of insight into the developing field and make a good use of Malta’s recently acquired status of a regulated blockchain hub. Pioneering the field and making sure that all participants in the crypto currency activities are well-protected and could operate in a safe manner, Malta is now aiming to step up its game and provide even more to its customers.

Prospects for the First of Its Kind Event

The official announcement of the upcoming summit was made by the Chief Executive Officer of Delta Summit Abdalla Kablan and as it was confirmed then the build-up for the event has already begun. It will give some of the most renown world’s top leaders, pioneers and entrepreneurs and innovators the chance to meet and share their thoughts regarding the future of the field and how it could be improved in a way that will amp up the benefits for all parties involved.

The last days of February brought the news that Financial Services Parliamentary Secretary Silvio Schembri stated that the country is well on its way to becoming the first jurisdiction to have its own blockchain legislation, helping regulate the field and provide fair conditions for development for all. Several weeks later the said bills received a green light from the authorities and this is how the island country became the first one on a global scale to provide regulation to the world of crypto currency and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).

These major changes come just in time for the relocation of the world’s largest virtual currency exchange Binance which moved from Japan to Malta at the beginning of this year. With the help of low taxes, Malta is able to attract more online gaming businesses and give them a chance for success. With the help of this new summit, Malta is going to be able to promote its innovative technology and the chances for development it has. The plans for the event is to become an annual one and to be used as a platform popularizing and boosting the development of the field.
