MGM Springfield Launches Casino School for Future Employees

The gambling industry is constantly seeking for new people willing to join its workforce and demonstrate their skills among players and in order to guarantee qualified staff members at the soon-to-be-launched MGM Springfield, a new training institute began operation this Monday. The first students which entered the new Massachusetts Casino Careers Training Institute have the passion to learn how to provide customers with a superior casino experience and they will have the chance to demonstrate it.

As of the beginning of this week, the new gaming school has officially given start to its classes which will aim to provide the future gambling destination with well-equipped staff which will be able to oversee the operation of the casino venue and elevate its performance to a higher level. The people which have applied to the new casino school have the chance to receive a spot among the staff members if they perform well and acquire the knowledge they are being given.

Classes for Gambling Enthusiasts

Over the span of the following six months, the new location will have to find about 3,000 people ready to join the staff and become part of the new facility. The specific training necessary for the work at the casino venue should be utilized by as many as 450 employees which have the desire to work with players and reach the advance piloting level of gambling. As many as 100 additional employees of the new casino venue will have to receive comprehensive training in the poker specifics. At the very beginning of the classes at the Training Institute, there was a total of 26 students present in the blackjack class.

It gave the official start of the learning schedule first thing Monday morning and all participants had to be there at 8 a.m. ready to gain knowledge about the secret gestures and tricks of becoming a casino expert. The first class ran to 12.20 p.m., giving its participants the chance to be properly introduced to the matter. As for the afternoon classes, there were another 30 casino enthusiasts ready to learn more about blackjack. The classes will continue throughout the spring and summer months leading up to the official opening of the casino resort in September.

In the rich schedule of the MGM Springfield training, there will be a wide variety of gaming education provided, to the likings of roulette, craps, and baccarat. Those of the students who perform best and succeed in finishing two or three of the courses provided by the casino school will then have the opportunity to give their luck a try at the job fairs recruiting people for the gambling location at MGM Springfield. As it is known, the casino resort is scheduled to welcome its first guests later this year in the South End and is currently looking for suitable employees.

The project for the training program is being realized with the collaborative efforts of MGM Resorts International, Springfield Technical Community College, and Holyoke Community College.
