The 1-3-2-6 betting system is a positive progression system. This means that you increase the amount of your bet when you win. An example of the 1-3-2-6 betting system is this:
We will assume that each unit is $5 and that you have even money odds of 1:1. You bet $5 as your initial bet. After winning this bet, $5 is added to the $10 on the table which makes the second bet $15. Once you win this bet there is $30 on the table. Once you win this amount you take $20 back and your third bet is now $10. If you win on the third bet, you will have $20 remaining on the table. Add $10 to that for a total of $30 for your fourth bet. Now, if you win on the fourth bet, there will be $60 on the table which is your profit. The betting cycle has now been completed so you start from the beginning and repeat the cycle - beginning with your original $5 bet.
The attractiveness of the 1-3-2-6 betting system is due to the fact that you are risking a small amount to win a much larger amount, if you complete the betting cycle laid out above. At the second bet, you can lose six times at worst, but still completely cover yourself by winning all four bets of the cycle one time. This system is fine to use if you are just playing Blackjack for fun, but it is not a system that most serious players use.
